Sea urchins

Some call it the caviar of Ericeira. 

In fact, taking into account their rarity and the difficulty of catching them, together with the explosion of flavour and sea air they transmit to the palate, we can say that we are in the presence of an exclusive and incomparable delicacy.

All kinds of recipes can be prepared with sea urchins, from the açordas (bread stew) to pies, including sea urchins “à Brás” or sea urchin custard. It is also possible to try them in their most delicious and surprisingly fresh form: raw, without cooking or seasoning.
